Welcome to the Children's Literature LibGuide!

We hope that this guide will help you to find children's books, as well as books about children's books, research and reference articles, and websites (for more information on each, click on the above tabs) for use in your classes or personal interests. Please contact a librarian (information to the right) if you need further help.  

The library has access to a Picture Book Database, that enables searchers to find listings of various picture books, based on many different search criteria, including artistic media and style, character education, literary devices, and literary tie-ins, categories, genres and formats, series and characters, original publisher/title/language (for titles published outside the U.S.), country of origin, and age ranges. It is a phenomenal tool for finding just the right book for your audience.

The GCC library also houses an entire children's literature collection. These books can be found in the short book shelves in the main reading room of the library.
